FakeTrade

Terms of Service

The ground rules for using FakeTrade.

Effective date: 2026-05-27

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using FakeTrade in any way, you agree to these Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and the Risk Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use FakeTrade.

2. What FakeTrade is

FakeTrade is an educational simulator. You place orders using virtual money against live market price feeds. No real funds change hands. No order you place on FakeTrade ever reaches a real exchange. No position ever results in a real holding of any asset. There is no deposit, no withdrawal, and no custody of money or cryptocurrency.

FakeTrade is provided for skill-building, curiosity, and entertainment. It is not a brokerage. It is not regulated by the SEC, FINRA, ESMA, FCA, CFTC, or any other financial authority.

3. Your account

You can sign in via Google OAuth. By signing in you confirm that you are old enough to consent under the laws of your jurisdiction. You agree to:

  • Maintain one account per person.
  • Not use automation, scraping, or scripts against the simulator or the underlying data feeds beyond ordinary browser use.
  • Not exploit bugs, race conditions, or pricing anomalies. If you discover one, please report it to contact@faketrade.fun.
  • Not impersonate another person, harass other users on the leaderboard, or use the service for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or remove accounts that abuse the service, attempt to manipulate the leaderboard, or violate these terms.

4. No financial advice

Nothing on FakeTrade is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. The simulator does not recommend any asset, strategy, or transaction. Any information you see -- prices, lists of assets, leaderboards, "hot" or "cold" markers, charts, statistics -- exists for the sole purpose of running the simulation, not as guidance for real-world decisions.

See the Risk Disclaimer for more detail.

5. No guarantees of results

Performance inside FakeTrade does not predict performance in real markets. Profits, losses, leaderboard rank, and ROI shown in the simulator are virtual. Past simulated performance does not indicate future results -- inside the simulator or outside it.

6. Intellectual property

The FakeTrade name, logo, design, and code are ours. You may not copy or redistribute them without permission. Market data displayed in the simulator is licensed from third-party providers and remains their property; we surface it for the single purpose of operating the simulator.

7. Limitation of liability

FakeTrade is provided "as is". We make no warranty that it is bug-free, available without interruption, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Real-world losses, opportunity costs, or other damages from decisions you make based on simulator output.
  • Errors or delays in market data feeds (Binance, Coinbase, Finnhub, Polygon, and other upstream providers).
  • Outages of the platform, of Supabase, Vercel, Cloudflare, Google, or any other infrastructure provider we depend on.
  • Loss of access to your account or virtual balances.

8. Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by writing to contact@faketrade.fun shall be brought before the competent courts of Poland. Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights as a consumer in your country of residence.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the site. The "Effective date" at the top of this page reflects the latest version. Continued use of FakeTrade after a material change means you accept the updated Terms.
