FakeTrade is an educational simulator. No real money, no real trades. Gold price: TwelveData (live); metals candles come from Polygon, with 5m/15m/30m/1h/4h aggregated in the worker from 1m bars because Polygon free serves a stale native 1h. Silver (XAGUSD) is the exception: no free live feed exists for it, so it is priced from the previous day's close and new positions are disabled — closing and reducing still work. Almost-24/5 session: Sunday 18:00 New York → Friday 17:00 New York, with a 17:00–18:00 New York maintenance break Mon–Thu.
